Nerys Howell and Jo Roberts researched, developed and wrote the Hospitality Providers Handbook for the WDA and the Food For Thought Toolkit for the Wales Tourist Board. The brief was to produce a comprehensive, invaluable and practical guide to inform and inspire hospitality providers from all sectors in Wales to offer local food and drink.

We run food and drink workshops for all sectors - cafes, pubs, restaurants, guesthouses, hotels and tourist attractions - to encourage businesses to use quality local produce and we offer practical advice and support to meet client's objectives.
Eurofoods Ltd offered a challenging brief to create a series of photographs with appeal to a wide range of consumers. Howel Food Consultancy prepared and styled foods for a recipe collection for the WDA featuring quality food and drink from Wales. We also styled award winning products and recipes for the current True Taste Awards, carefully following a brief to provide an attractive and contemporary feel in keeping with True Taste brand values.
Howel Food Consultancy create and test recipes in line with current industry trends. We work in partnership with a number of specialist photographers liaising meticulously on props and styling to showcase products at their best.
Howel Food Consultancy has taken the True Taste to the World- from Brussels, to New York and Dubai .We work with leading chefs, caterers and hoteliers adding a Welsh flavour to menus at prestigious events throughout the world, such as the Ryder Cup in Detroit and the Rugby World Cup in Sydney.
The Howel team offer a consultancy service for receptions working alongside food and beverage teams to ensure that the eating experience is a success. We offer specialised advice from product sourcing and menu planning to presentation styles and hold a database of the latest products available, working closely with food and drink producers.
Howel Food Consultancy, in partnership with other consultants, developed the concept and strategy for the operation of the Blas showcase - an interactive exhibition including retail areas, modern cafe, cookery theatre, cyber zone and an exhibition of The True Taste Winners. Other clients include National Museum and Galleries of Wales and The Welsh Language and Heritage Centre at Nant Gwrtheyrn where we are developing the food operation in keeping with the 'sense of place' philosophy.
We work closely with clients researching and developing new food service concepts featuring quality local and seasonal food and drink. Our work includes product sourcing, menu development, equipment specification, kitchen organisation and control, front of house styling, presentation and staff customer skills. We offer a unique 'Hospitality Doctor' service where we highlight short or long term improvements aimed at increasing turnover and customer satisfaction.
We have extensive experience in live cookery demonstrations including television appearances on BBC Wales and S4C, in addition to exhibition work in this country and overseas and managing a roadshow promoting Welsh produce. Our bilingual team of highly skilled cookery demonstrators can meet a variety of requirements including radio, television, food festivals, agricultural shows, product launches and private functions. If you are launching a new product, our team will ensure that it is a success. With over six years experience of product styling, merchandising, sampling and demonstrations, we have worked with Tesco, Sainsbury's Asda, Safeway, Waitrose and Marks and Spencer.
