A quick, easy recipe to keep you warm on cold winter nights!
Serves 8


1.5 litres cider
2 tbsp brown sugar
4 small cinnamon sticks, halved
1 orange, zest pared into strips
2 eating apples
12 cloves


1. Slice the apples in half and stud all over with the cloves.
2. Put all the ingredients in a pan add the apple and gently heat for about 20 minutes until the sugar dissolves.
3. Serve immediately in heatproof glasses with some cinnamon sticks and orange strips.
